Two fantastic runs by the winners of this years Meerbrook 15k saw both the mens and womens records broken by two minutes. In the mens a great run by Andy Norman of Altricham break Ray Plants record with a time of 52.43 Ray himself havin had a injury nearly all year had a super run to get inside his own record but had to this time settle for second as the man from Altricham was in super form.

In the Ladies race it was Mary Wilkinson of Bingley harriers winner of this years Snowdon international fell race who took control of the race from the off and never looked in danger as she to broke the course record of Julia Myatts beating last years winner Ruth Watchon Rice into second place.

But the race was Just not about winners and it was great to see so many of you there on race day enjoying the race. It was particular encouraging to see so many runners coming from outside the area so we must be getting it right!

In the Junior run a star of the future Louise Baker of Staffordshire moorlands ac won the Junior gun run not only winning the girls race but also winning the boys the winner of the boys race was Jake ross also of Staffs Moorlands.
